Dave in Florida

kadams@liberty.uc.wlu.edu Thu Mar 9 03:46:39 1995

Anybody else out there planning to see Dave and company at the Sunrise
Musical Theater in Ft. Lauderdale April 11th? Hope so because I thought
this would never happen. First off, I've been at W&L here in Lex, VA for
three and a half years and needless to say, kinda dig the Dave Matthews
Band. Second, I was born in and have lived the rest of my life in
Lauderdale suburbia. I never thought DMB would EVER play in or near my
hometown. But, it is true...they are scheduled to play in the same venue
that my high school held graduation in (it's a big school), how random is
that one? Thirdly, I fly home for Spring Break on the 10th of April. It
must be fate. I have also managed to twist the arms (not really) of
three of my fellow classmates (hailing from Minnesota, Oregon, and
Hawaii) who will be joining me for this momentous occasion. Alas, BOOFY
will not be able to make it. I know Adam, the Miami connection will be in
attendance as well, so if any of you all out there think you'll be
around, let me know, OK? Cool. Oh, amazingly enough the place has
almost sold out-I'm in the balcony- it'll be interesting to see how that
crowd reacts....hmmmm? Later all Smile!

I can't be the only one

67006416@sunybroome.edu Thu Mar 9 03:46:48 1995

In case nobody noticed, something wierd is going on with the net.
Maybe not everybody's computer is doing this, but being undigestified, every
post that I am getting is from Minarets@moose... so If you reply to that
letter you are posting it to the net. So... before you reply, look and see
who it's from and where it is going to. That is why there is so much
personal mail floeting around. It is really not that hard. Anybody know
what is wrong though? None of the posts are from the people that sent them. You have to fish through the headers to fingd out who sent it. But, until it
is fixed, everyone look before you reply to something. It will make things
a lot easier for all of us. Thanks...

P.S. It has been said before, but this computer system that I am at
REALLY sucks. Peace...

In Memory of Anne

swaun@vt.edu Thu Mar 9 06:24:09 1995

The other day I was listening to UTTAD and looking throught the
CD case and I noticed that the inside of the back cover has a picture
of Dave and a little kid and it says "In Memory of Anne". Now, I
apologize if I should know this or I shouldn't be asking, but...who's
Anne?

On my copy of the Dave and Tim show at the wetlands, 1.29.94, Dave says that
he is just returning from South Africa where he was mourning the murder of
his sister. He then goes on to dedicate the show to her. I believe that
was Anne. : (

Dmbard@aol.com Thu Mar 9 12:21:57 1995

hey caton,

i am not positive, but i think the lyrics to the beatles "norwegian wood"
goes something like

i once had a girl or should i say she once had me
she took me home and told me to sit anywhere
i looked around and noticed there wasn't a chair

actually, i think i may be missing a line in there, but my roommate is a huge
beatles freak and as soon as he gets his cds brought out from california i
can give you the exact lyrics.

let me know if this helped you at all.

Lexington Horse Center

goldberg@rochgte.fidonet.org Thu Mar 9 14:09:11 1995

Hey all,

Just got my hands on one of the juiciest bagbies I have heard in a
while. It is the Lexington Horse Center Show - 11/9/94. There is one
song I can't ID. The band plays a rockin' section before melting it
into Halloween. I have it labeled as "jam", maybe that's all it is, but
it might be a song, there are some lyrics though.... The sound quality
is absolutely incredible, and Boyd throughout the show plays some of the
most incredible harmonies and background melodies I have ever heard.
Rusted Root opened for them that night, and as a filler, they are
included on the second tape. Both bands completely blow me away!

I'm looking for any rare Dave stuff, mint... Especially with Drive in,
Drive out. Also, I'm on the hunt for WSP, GSW, RR, and Jambay. I have
lots to trade, including the above and Phish, with some Hendrix coming
soon. E-mail me if you are interested. :)

Peace,

Seth

That way, nobody can capture me.....They can use the hell out of me, but
there ain't too much they can do to me. They can mess me up, play the
wrong note, they can play a C, but they can't really destroy a C. All
it is, is a tone...So I'm gonna come back as a note.

2/28/95-Cincinnati WANTED!

If anyone taped the 2/28/95 show at the Taft Theatre in Cincinnati, I would
love to get a copy as it was my first DMB show. I can't get enough of
watching Carter as I too am a drummer and I talked to him after the show for
awhile. So all together, it was an incredible night that I would be willing
to send a couple of shows in return for.
If anyone has this show, PLEASE let me know.

Hello everyone,
been reading minarets for about a month or two and decided it was time to
make an appearance. So here goes.

don't need more tapes than I can listen to in a day since it seems like I'll
end up leaving the same CD in my car for about a week before someone ends up
complaining about it. However, I do have one show of particular interest if
anyone has the Oct. 15 1994 show opening for Phish in Birmingham, AL. I
would like the whole show including phish if you can. I was also
interested, if its not to much to ask, in a copy of the Birmingham show from
Dec. 28, 1994. or any tape with Halloween that someone thinks is
particularly tasty. Thanks.

drummer I have seen in a very long time. He can really kick the grooves.
If anyone cares, a friend of mine talked to Carter sometime around the V-day
show and Carter said that Modern Drummer had just finished an interview that
should be in an issue in the next month or show. Its like a whole article
and not some tidbit thing.

My mother always said, "If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything
at all." and 2) You can't punch anybody through the internet so why bother
typing loud.

DMB Homepage. Its beautiful.

Hey everybody!

I am a newbie to the net, but not to DMB. I have seen Dave about six
times at the Fox Theatre in Boulder in 1994 and i was wondering if anyone
would happen to have any bootlegs from Fox shows in Boulder. I don't
really have anything to trade - being a newbie and all - but hopefully we
could work out some kind of deal. I am particularly interested in
getting a November show where Dave talks about Pabst Blue Ribbon - I gave
him that Pabst! Thanks in advance!

See you minaretters in Milwaukee and Chicago!

Friends,

I'm driving about 5 hours to see dave on tuesday, and would like to meet
up with a couple of you at the show. I know a couple people from notre
Dame are going, and I would like you guys to mail me personally.

Steffan seems a little to into Madonna. He's sort of timid. Is that
because of the television?

I'm in the market for a new deck, and I have a question. How many people
make tapes with a high quality dual deck or do most people use two single
decks. Is there that much of a noticeable difference if a tape was made
on a dual deck vs. two singles? Obviously cost is a factor considering two
decks would run around $600-700. My most recent Consumer Reports had a Sony
dual deck highly recommended and said its performance nearly matched that of
their recommended Sony single deck. Anybody out there who regularly
participates in tape trees who uses a dual deck, have you had any complaints?
I guess I was under the assumption that you shouldn't be a branch in a tape
tree unless you had two HQ single decks...

Comments and opinions don't necessarily need to be posted for all to see,
unless it might be beneficial to all who tape...

thanks,
Brian

P.S. on a random note, The Black Crowes are coming to Gainesville and the ad
for their show here said at the bottom "The Black Crowes strongly encourage
fans to tape this performance." Never seen anything like that before...

A few digest ago in with all of the flaming Alex Crothers posted that the
dates in Europe would be solo. This is really cool because we will have
a greater oppertunity to hear So Much To Say, Blue Water, Say Goodbye, and
other great songs that they are not playing right now because of the time
constraints of playing with BHTM. What I was wondering was if anyone knows
the names of the venues that they are playing in Europe, especially Amstredam.
I'm going to be there on the 30th and NEED to get tix. I would love any
information that anyone has. Thank you and thanks for your time.

to know, Van Halen is OPENING for Bon Jovi for the rest of the tour in Europe!?

Jeez, don't you guys think you're being selfish? I mean, I've been on this
mailing list since the very beginning, and I'm all for a DMB newsgroup.
This list has gotten REALLY huge, and a newsgroup seems like the logical
solution to this. About keeping Minarets secret, well.. that seems really
selfish. Isn't the internet here for the free exchange of information?
Are we here to judge someone just because they didn't have the pleasure of
finding out about DMB when we did? I don't get it.

P.S. Have a nice day.

 Fellow minareters,

I just got back from the library (where I videotaped Alt. Nation),
so I've had some time to think about it. As ranDOM wrote (see below), I
think Kennedy could have asked some more intelligent questions. But what
I disagree with is that the Madonna reference was stupid. It was just a
random name that Kennedy threw at them, which actually led Stefan to break
his silence and say "I have her latest album!" (I also think Kennedy's
mocking of "Vogue" was somewhat humorous.)
neo-HIPPIE, and asked Stefan what he thought of being related to Phish, Big
Head Todd (ironically enough), and other HORDE-type bands. Relax, ranDOM,

Apparently you missed the New York Times article on Monday. I saw
about 5 GD or Garcia references. I have a hard copy of it if
you'd like it. A completely inane piece of work.

who are dedicated to DMB in some way, so let's just enjoy it!

Now I REALLY need some Dave,

 						Jim

Yeah, I'm enjoying it. I hope to enjoy it even more in a week
at Fort Wayne.

schould be able to find free parking on the streets if you are willing to
walk a few blocks.

will be packed. The Flats is the area by the river where there is about 50
nightclubs/bars. The east bank (side closer to downtown) is generally a
younger crowd and the west bank would be older. Just follow the signs
posted all over town to get there. Traffic might be a bitch since they are
doing construction everywhere down there, but if your in town you go down
there. The Rock Hall of fame under constucion is near the music hall. It's
at North Coast Harbor at the the end of E.9th, it looks cool check it out.

MAGAZINE TO FIND OUT EVERYTHING THAT GOES ON IN THE CITY. There are
available everywhere, bars record stores and it's free. It gives you all
the info you need.

Broad street about half a mile west of the center of downtown. Parking is
right there.

east(toward downtown) on Broad and take a right on High. Go for about a
mile after you pass downtown until you see Hosters (a micro brewery), the
High-Beck, Victories etc. and your there.
2. Campus. Thursday nights are a big night for campus bars, so they might
be a bit crowded. If you just want to drink (and not dance) I recomend the
Cornerstone, Bub's, Not Al's pub (NOT Not Al's Rockers) and the Bier Stube.
All four are within two blocks of each other on High Street. When leaving
Vet's go up to High and take a left. Continue on High for about 3 or four
miles and you wont be able to miss campus.

I was watching Alternative Nation last nite, and for the most part I feel
it was pretty cool. I esp. like when they jumped on her right off the bat
about dumb questions... I know it was just a joke all around, but it made
me think that Dave new nothing all too relevant would be asked. Of course
I would have liked more probing questions but what do you expect from MTV?

I am really interested in getting a massive collection so anyone interested
please get back to me... I'll be more than happy to send the tapes (exectly
the ones you need or suggest) return postage etc...
One last thing... I feel BHTM are a great band...I know this isn't the BHTM
net, but why can't we support other bands we think are good? Lets help
each other out, ya know? I think they're are a damn fine band if for
nothing else because they don't sound like all the other bands out there...
well, at least not like MOST of the other bands out there.

Howdy,
of this from being on several of the nets. I just wanted to reafh a
lot of people. I have a question on taping euqipment.
patch into the soundboard with a tapedeck of some sort and record the
show that way. I am looking for more specifics on how to accomplish
this, specifically what euipment is needed. Can I just take a tape
deck compnent off of a stereo system and use that? What kind of
wires do I need? What is a soundpatch. A couple of my friends are
in bands and I was looking ot tape a few shows, or maybe even some
other shows given the chance and I am in need of this information.
Thank you in advance for any responses. I appreciate it.

According to the latest issue of the College Music Journal DMB is ranked

Top 150 Radio - #34, up three from last time
Retail - #29, up nine from 38
Triple AAA (the VH1 of radio stations) - #1 !!!, up from number 9
Video (alternative format) - #23

In Core college radio stations that report to the CMJ UTTAD is number 25
in tendering requests for airplay in the Midwest and number 15 in the

the word is now that tix will be sold in the next few days, i'll let

Hello there-
Dave Mathews bootleg to my name. I am not a new fan, it is just that I
am living in Bloomington, IN where it appears that Dave is just a fad if
he is anything. I am a huge fan. I have seen him three times in the
past week (Roseland both nights, and Cincinatti). I do not have much to
trade up with. I have access to enough Phish and Dead Bootlegs to kill a
man. I also have figured out almost every single DMB song that is on any
of the three albums on guitar.
right arm for the Roseland show with Trey and Popper). If you are a kind
sould and wouldn't mind just letting me send you a couple of blank tapes,
I would apreciate it. Or, name a Phish show and I will see what I can do.
p.s. Hope this works, this is my first message.

Two single decks are almost always better than one dual. The dual
decks are generally of lower quality and do not allow many of the
features of two singles. With two single decks you can adjust the
signal level on the tape you are creating which you can rarely do
with a dual deck. There are also few 3-head dual decks (3 heads
allows you to listen to the actual recording on the tape as you make it.
This can be significantly different than the signal being sent to the
recorder).

If you want a good taping system, be sure that the deck you will
record with has 3 heads, the playback deck can have 2. Bias tones for
adjusting the bias for recording is also very nice. When buying, look
at the frequency range of the deck as well as the wow & flutter. A
wider frequency range is, of course, better. But beware of misleading
numbers; I think most companies list their range as 3dB points, others
list their range in all sorts of ways. Wow & flutter should be low.

Many people I know stay away from Sony decks. Their quality for the
dollar is often not as good as others. Of course I ended up buying
one anyway because I found a floor model of a nice deck at a going out
deck at the time). Denons are generally good. Aiwa used to have
problems with reliability, but I think they've fixed that now.
Nakamichis are very good but even more expensive.

I've been happy with my Denon 710 and my Sony 611S (? I'm not sure of
the model number but it has 3 heads, bias tones, and Dolby S).

dave to fripp!? that's one hell of a compliment. bht, can be boring.
it's too bad he didn't go the next night. he would have been blown away.

boys girls, animals...

well well well. i need a bit of a break...those of you who admonished me for
goofing with personal stuff on the net....fine. you're right...but i find it
hard to believe you bag on me when 90% of messages are about the first time
someone saw dmb on mtv...

the road warrior who told us all what to put on net and what not to...hmmm
no thanks...i don't need a net where all i can look at are setlists and shit...

i like human contact...so to speak.

so personal posts only please...nothing on net will scorch my eyes for a bit...
i feel so sheep-like leaving net for a while.
baaaah.

just to let people know...sending people posts being all stern and shit like
you're thirty years old is really dull..(joe and laura, etc)..affect your best
parental voice and say.."listen eric i really think this kind of post is
detrimental to net morale...so please refrain from being so puerile in the
future....everybody's happy...everybody's free...c'mon buddy...sing along!" to
me, personal posts and flames make me smile and laugh...as do good show reviews,
etc...so if people just want to read trade lists and nytimes articles, cool.

but its kinda boring.

peace for awhile.

hey now!
i don't know if most of you new people know who i am. i figure with so many
new folks on the .net, that i might be able to set up some juicy tape trades.
i have about 35 hours of primo quality DMB. i don't high speed dub, and i
don't use dolby. i usually trade two tapes at a time. i am looking for some
specific things at the moment, so if you have them, drop me a line...

Dear All, 1.March.1995

Monsters (BHTM) in a short 'post.' I think that the two bands are very
different and should not be compared. BHTM has a bigger name
recognition right now in the West and Mid-West and that is why they are
opening on those legs of the tour. I have seen BHTM three times now and I
thought that they sounded good every time. I will admit that I think that
the DMB is a much better group and even though I like their sound more I still
respect, listen, and support BHTM as a band. I think that we should
support musicians that we think play good music. I wish both bands great
luck in the upcoming tour dates. Thanks for your time.
Later...peace and pipe...talk hard...

------------------------------

I can't believe I wrote this thing, needless to say I had a great time at
the show and wanted to share it. Send me some personal mail if you even
care at all.

started here about an hour ago...

I see the setlist was posted pretty quick, someone from Dayton, eh? That's
where I live now, no comment. I had two second row balcony seats for the
show, but because of a bunch of confusion I ended up going by myself. I
was outside for awhile trying to sell my extra ticket, but had to piss
really bad, so I walked around to the alley (not being quick enough at the
time to notice people going in and out the side door with thier ticket
stubs, to smoke I guess it was no smoking inside, huh?) Standing there in
between a van and the wall I hear some lady guiding a truck out of the
alley, and see a small open door with a big FIRE DOOR sign on it.
"lightbulb over head" guided me casually down the alley and into the
theater. Cool as hell, catacomb-like basement with the remains of a
buffet, I grabbed a coke. Nobody was around but I could hear the music, I
think it was Milhaus (my cousin roomed with the lead singer at Xavier) but
I didn't recognize the tunes. I cracked open one of the pit doors and
looked up to see the crowd and a BIG security guard, so I "walked on down
the hall, and I came to a door" some closet with a bunch of fuses, noted it
as a good hiding spot if necessary. Turned around and this dude in a black
jacket asked me if that went to stage right, "Nope, stage right is up those
stairs, I'll show ya". I had seen the signs :-) So I foolowed him up and
right onto the stage, shit. It was Milhaus alright, they could have had
Psychological Vacation instead, dammitman. I chilled out while they
finished thier last tunes, finished my coke. I got a little bored once the
band left, I didn't think DMB would be on NEXT. So I continued exploring,
Stage left had a HUGE soundboard, but I didn't think it would've been
DMB's, nobody was around to give my blanks to. Some chick said something
to this dude about not having a pass or something, didn't catch it, but saw
where everybody was going. Walked right into this fat security guard
sitting at the entrance, of course I was coming from the stage so I said
high and smiled and walked on up the stairs. Door with sign said DMB
dressing rooms, I opened it and strolled on in. Dave was walking out of
one of the rooms and into another, "dave" really soft got his attention
before he walked in. "I said hey, I'm Charlie and Chas and, uh, we met you
in Indianapolis back in Nov, I was waay fucked, up sorry about that." I
hadn't really thought of anything to say, but reached into my pocket and
pulled out a Mary Adam 12 sticker and gave it to him, "Here's a great band
from Columbus...", "How's it go?" M A 12. So then he asked me how I was
and I looked at him, and said, "Great, well fuckin' great now, things have
been rough" Then a dude walked up like he was talkin to us and said Dave
needed a little time before he goes on, come back after the show. "Oh I'm
sorry dude, OK no problem, hey can I have one of those beers? Thanks,
later." So then I walked on down the stairs, passed Stephan, he sort of
looked at me like I freaked him out or something, but was just in a hurry I
think. Then Carter sort of bolted by while I was BS'n with the Fat guard,
and made the mistake of asking Mike for a pass, I really wasn't that
buzzed, but when he asked how I got in I told him the truth, and that Dave
said to come back after the show, but I had good seats, so wanted a pass so
I could come back later, no luck. So I stood there with the Fat guy, Mike
told him I was leavin' when I finished my beer, dammit. So I went around
and nobody was lookin for tickets so I went on in. Straight to the floor,
there was a big crowd in the isle so I got down front and slid in 4th row,
then got moved over to the right side isle. "Lie in Our Graves" I was
psyched and a little suprised. I was jammin half in the isle all night.
The security guard didn't let anybody in the isle for the rest of the show,
BIIG MF'r. The show rocked, but I did think that they stopped Recently
short or skipped an intro thing or something then I knew, 'cause Boyd
looked at Dave funny. Intro to Dancing Nancies was cool, what did Dave
say? Like what if you had gone down instead of up, who could you have
been. I think it was the Jam in Jimi Thing that I liked the best, I found
myself groovin' hard to the Jams, Like in Jimi Thing especially. I thought
Ants as the final tune was a good choice, because Cinci is such a
conservative town, crowd was trendy, etc. I thought they really got into
playing WWYS. Was it played anywhere after new year's except Letterman?
They also seemed to love the crowd getting into the well known tunes like
Ants etc. Dave played a nice long intro after announcing One Sweet World.
I couldn't believe it was over so fast, they were gone, dude's were
changin' the equipment etc. I had to sit down. Then I went around and the
fat guard got pissed at me, so I went back in the show and ran into the
dude that asked me to give Dave some time. He said that security guard was
all pissed that I had aced his ass and shit and that I'd better not go
back, but he took me up to the balcony. I had to meet Kelly, (remember the
confusion thing) so I left. Drove home this morning. Damn this is too
freakin long and crazy boring, if you're still reading you're as whacked as
I am. I asked around all the soundboards if anybody was taping, but I bet
Bagby was Stage Left, not sure. So if anybody taped the show please let me
know, I'm also looking for 11/14/94 Indianapolis.

I'd also really like to get that tape from NC if anyone has it.

------------------------------

Many people I know stay away from Sony decks. Their quality for the
dollar is often not as good as others. Of course I ended up buying
one anyway because I found a floor model of a nice deck at a going out
deck at the time). Denons are generally good. Aiwa used to have
problems with reliability, but I think they've fixed that now.
Nakamichis are very good but even more expensive.

I've been happy with my Denon 710 and my Sony 611S (? I'm not sure of
the model number but it has 3 heads, bias tones, and Dolby S).

 Bruce Willner

Just to add a little something...

I've always had problems with Sony, but NEVER, EVER with Onkyo..especially
the dual tape deck. I agree that 2 single decks are better than one, but
both the recording decka nd playback deck have 3 heads. Onkyo will cost
somewhat more than Aiwa, Sony and Fisher (Price), but IT'S WORTH IT!!!

For anyone traveling to Cleveland or Columbus for the shows, here is a
little info you might apreciate
*************************************CLEVELAND********************************
known as public hall or the convention center. It's located on St. Clair
and E. 6th. You should be able to park for free on the road, if you are
willing to walk a couple of blocks.

is off season right now, it's still a great time. The Flats is the
entertainment district along the river, there are about 40-50 nightclubs,
bars and resturants down there. It is less than a mile from the music
hall, just head west on St. Clair until you reach the bottom of the hill,
and your there, or just follow the signs all over town. There is a younger
crowd on the east bank than the west bank.
GRAB A SCENE MAGAZINE. It's a free music/ events paper that tells you
about everything that is going on in the city. You can pick one up in any
bar, music store or whatnot. The Gateway area(sportsbars) and the
Wharehouse district(yuppie/laid-back/jazz bars) are also less than a mile
from the music hall and there is something usually going on there.

WHILE IN CLEVELAND.... Check out the Rock Hall of Fame, it's located at
north coast harbor, at the end of E.9th st, less than a mile from the music
hall. And Tower City is a cool mall if you want to tool around for a
while, ask anyone in the city they will point you to it.

RADIO STATION TO LISTEN TO......107.9 The End

*************************************COLUMBUS*********************************
(I hate this city, but I like Ohio State, so I'm stuck here)

THE SHOW.....The show is at Veteran's Memorial Audatoriun. Its located
just west of downtown on Broad St. once your over the bridge it is right
there.

WHAT TO DO.....There are really two places that you could go, campus or
German Village. Before the show niether are two busy, but since Thurs
night is a big bar night at OSU the bars tend to get packed, but it's the
funnest night of the week on campus. There are only a few non-dance/cheese
bars on campus, but they are the Cornerstone on W.11th and High(the
largest/cleanest of the group), Not Al's pub (NOT NOT AL'S ROCKERS) on
E.9th and High, Bub's on W.10 and High and finally the Bier Stube set back
on High in between W9th and W8th. The Cornerstone gets my nod if there is
to be a gathering in Columbus.
downtown. Take a left onto High and follow it for about 3 miles and you
wont be able to miss campus.
of lage Bars, Hoster's (a micro-brewery), the High-Beck and Victory's allon
the same block.
Broad, towards downtown, and take a right on High and go a couple of miles
until you see Hosters.

hometown pride write me back. Hope to see you all in Cleveland and
Columbus.

A nethead friend of mine put together a large four-part file on taping, buying
decks, trading, etc. It is very well done and would be a great help to anybody
who is interested in buying decks and getting into trading. It is also a good
read for anyone else too. The author is Michael Bell and he posted it to

You should be able to get it there. Let me know if you need more help finding
it.

Peace!

p.s. I'm looking for the Roseland show with Trey and the January show with
Trey. If anyone has 1-3 SBD of these let me know. I have about 1000hrs of
stuff to trade.

last night, but I have one question. Why wasn't it Dave and BOYD (or
any of the others for that matter) hosting the show? And the
have in this choice? Was everybody else busy? Is it race? Sex
appeal? If you've ever seen Boyd Tinsley live and in person he is
just about the sexiest man alive...

------------------------------

Well, maybe Stefan was on Alt.Nation with Dave because he actually wanted to.
Stefan wanted some more exposure, or maybe the others didn't want to. Either
way, Stefan deserves as much a shot as any, because he is part of the band.

is doing funny things today. Hey, the Boyd interview was a success this
afternoon! He was sooooooo cool! We talked for about 20 minutes or so.
I think I got in everybody's ideas and questions too. I'll try to post it
all real soon on the net. I'm facing two hell days of work so it might be
delayed till this wkend. Later!

Does anyone have a tape of the revival of Blue Water. I love that song. For
all y'all who haev heard it, does Boyd still take that incredible solo at the
end for like two and a half minutes? That's probably my favorite DMB thing
of all (besides #36).

------------------------------

Thanks for spreading the word on DMB. Their album just went gold.

------------------------------

I would really appreciate it if someone could tell me if there are any DMB
bootlegs on CD. I know that a bunch of Italian companies produce live CD's of
almost every "popular" band around, but I have yet to see a DMB one. If any of
you have any info or even have transfered some tapes on to CD, please email me.
I don't have anything to trade but I will give you a good cash price. Thanks.

year my school just got the net and it opened my eyes to how many boots
are out there. I have none. I would get my left testical, maybe even my
right for the Roseland show with Trey and Popper.
Please someone save me.

Well, maybe Stefan was on Alt.Nation with Dave because he actually wanted to.
Stefan is a member of the band just like Boyd or Carter, etc.. Maybe
Stefan wanted some more exposure, or maybe the others didn't want to. Either
way, Stefan deserves as much a shot as any, because he is part of the band.
 Way to go Stefan.

This is true, that Stefan is a member of the band and deserves to be on
Alt. Nation as much as any other member, but of all the members he is
the one that is content to remain in the back and play. Boyd, on the
other hand, will catch your attention - he is right out in the front
going crazy... I know that he is the first person that made an
impression on me, and I know that's true for others (of course you're
impressed with dave). If it's publicity they're looking for, perhaps
Stefan would not have been the best choice...

Does anyone have a tape of the revival of Blue Water. I love that song. For
all y'all who haev heard it, does Boyd still take that incredible solo at the
end for like two and a half minutes? That's probably my favorite DMB thing
of all (besides #36).

I haven't heard the recent blue water, but the jam at the end is what
makes blue water as great as it is... I can't see them taking it out
without the song losing a lot.

I would really appreciate it if someone could tell me if there are any DMB
bootlegs on CD. I know that a bunch of Italian companies produce live CD's of

Oh nooooo... Yes, there are dmb bootleg cd's, but wouldn't it be easier
to get a copy of those shows from someone on this net? Hell, I can think
of at least one tree (which was created within the last month) which was
created so that no one would have to buy the show on CD. By the way, the
more people that buy the cd, the more money RCA would lose, the more
they would get on Bagby and the band, the less likely we will see
soundboard feeds or taping permission, the less tapes...

You know what I'm saying.

Andrew

i am pretty damn surprised that virtually no one has posted anything about
alternative nation last night; did y'all miss it or are you scared that
people are going to yell at you, calling it irrelevant and throw fire at your
head?
well. let me just say that i was so fucking amused by that whole interview. i
do not like kennedy, personally, and i don't know if dave did either because
he kept mocking her in a most wonderful and subtle way. completely harmless.
he made me laugh. stefan looked like he was autistic until madonna came up
and to hear him rocking back and forth, singing "my baby's got a secret..."
was very thrilling...new hat...? and, my, i was just so happy. they were so
entertaining but i still don't know why mtv (rca?) picked dave and stefan and
not dave and smileyboy carter. if this was a ploy to get stefan to be more
upfront with the public, i don't think you're supposed to do it in front of
3 million. are you? boy. i don't know what else to say. i'll keep this
short. but if anybody has a transcript or a video tape of this show, i'll
give you stuff. you know...stuff? like, um, french fries? hubba bubba
strawberrilicious gum? ahhhh, mentos! yes, freshens flavor. love those
european ads. anyway. comments always welcome, dears.

enough to make an interesting post. These are _NOT_ in the FAQ.
first - the hormonally prompted question -
1. Any idea on the identity of the girl in the WWYS video?? (btw, if any-
one wants a pic of her...e-mail me and I'll uuencode it for you!)
2. On the same thread, who's the girl on the cover of Recently? (I've
heard before on the net that she was from the C'ville area...any new info?)
3. Has anyone other than me noticed the "bouncing breast"
WWYS
video? (please ladies, don't flame me for that one...even my girlfriend
knows I'm a pervert ;p)
next - the Dave music questions -
1. What's up with the girl in Recently? Is she black? Is she old? Why would
people stare?
2. Has Dave ever given dates on when he wrote his songs? Are they all new?
All old? Is this a dumb question?
3. I've heard some tunes with what I think is Boyd on vocal. The song was
True Reflections. IF, indeed it was him, does he always sing this one?
4. There are some songs not covered in the Lyric phile. I think Two
Step and The Maker...(just to name two)....do these need to be figured
out...or are they already and the phile is just not updated?
lastly - misc. DMB junk -
1. About the 2-15-95 day-after-V-Day-show...does anyone anywhere have
a copy of this show? If so e-mail me, please! (I'm sorry about
disguising a tape grovel in the form of a question)
2. Anyone know where Dave lives in C'ville? Before you start calling me
a crazed lunatic fan...my sister lives in C'ville, and I visit her quite
often...soooo it would be cool to just drive by Dave's house...roll down
the window and whisper softly "Thank You Dave's mom!"
3. After watching the MTV-AN segment, who thinks Dave is only using this
music thing to further is comedic career? He is funnier than hell!!!
Well....that's all I had to ask...I hope some of these get answered. By
the way...I have but a small handfull of DMB boots...all I've got have
come from newbie offers (THANK YOU Tony, Mike, and hopefully Abbott). I
would like to trade with anyone. See question misc-1 above. Thanks
for reading....and if you are interested in getting a nice shiny program
from the RSO show and are willing to spin something cool...e-mail me (I
only have about five more!).

No specifics, but I think it might be in the downtown area (?). My old
roommate at UVa hooked up with Dave's roommate at the Bartender's Ball
several years ago (she was...well...not of the state to remember where
the house was, but I think they walked from the Omni?). Anyway, her claim
to fame is that she ate some of Dave's bread out of the fridge.

Hey. I was wondering if I could get alittle help from you www folks.
I've been trying to get into the dave homepage, but it keeps telling me
it doesn't exist. Could someone repost the address? (I checked my
faq...should it be in there to avoid repeated messages like this?)

Also, if you haven't checked out the Brady Bunch homepage, you should.
It's good for a few hours of fritter time. Far out.

mornin' everyone,

i have one boot and would LOVE to begin a true collection. if anyone is
interested in helping a new dave fan get started i would LOVE it.

anyhow, the one boot that i have is from 5-13-92 at the flood zone.
on the 2nd side is a tune called angel from montgomery.
which one of the boys is singin' on that and does john bryant (the songwriter
i think) have any other tunes that sound as great as "angel."

btw i have blue water baboon on this tape. someone said it sounded like
cosmic charlie, where do you make the connection?

one last thing...
about "the maker"...is daniel lanois any good? who would you compare his
music too. on this same tape, the one i mentioned before, dave said that it
was a daniel lanois tune and i was just curious.

if anyone has the answers to my questions or would enjoy helping me get
started on my dmb boot collection, i would be SO psyched.

thanks all in advance.
later,

Anyone know how tall DAve is?
On Letterman, Dave L did not seem to tower over Dave M, and I always
thought Dave L. was a tall guy.

Steffan "on something" on Alternative Nation the other night?? Dave, if
get this, WHAT WAS IT AND WHERE CAN I GET SOME???? Maybe they both were
just overly happy that they got to spend time with eMpTyVee v-jay,
Kennedy. While sitting n a friend's room the other night watching a tape
of Alternative Nation, one of the guys made a very insightful statement,
one which I agree with greatly. He just sat back, layed down his chop-
sticks, and matter-of-factly said, "I really wouldn't mind if she just
up and died one day." Anyways, it was great to see Dave getting national
television exposure(Yes, I am one of "those" -- I see it as a good thing
that Dave is getting so big. If you got it, flaunt it, right??) Anyways,
these is just my twist on Dave on eMpTyVee.
ations, I thought I would post a good trader report.
When we decided to get into a trade, he promptly sent mew his list, followed
by setlists of shows I requested. He was always vdery courteous and seems
like a great guy. After we decided what we were going to exchange, he spun
the tapes and got them in the mail in the same day. Trade with him if you
want to get your tapes quickly or just e-mail him if you want to meet a
really nice Minaretter. Thanks Nathan -- your tapes are in the mail.

Boyd is the singer on "Angel From Montgomery." The only tape I have them
doing this song is NYE 92. I went to the Feb. 11 Tower show in Philly. As we
were awaiting the encore, just dave and boyd walk back on stage. Boyd began
playing and I turned to mt friend and said it was Angel. People around us were
like "what is this country shit?" I was pretty siked to see it live. It is a
great tune. Boyd did an incredible job both singing and playing. This was the
first time in a long. long time that they had played this, I think.

Somebody asked about the Screen Saver the other day. Well, It has a picture of
the band that flashes on the screen, and then there are poised pictures of each
member of the band close-up. No music or anything, just flashing pictures, one
at a time, on a black background. there are sound bites on the disk. about 3
seconds each of ants, seek up, recently, and tripping billies. The recently
bite is the "yeah, yeah." the ants is the drum beat at the beginning. "Seek
up an emotion." "Cause we're tripping billies."

As far as I know, the girl on the Recently cover IS from C'ville. A friend of
mine from C'ville told me last year that he new her. Unfortunately, he no
longer goes to school with me, so I can't find out a name or anything.

I hope this was some help. Talk to all later, and Camel Lights for all...tom

Hey out there!
first show, I was anticipating it for weeks, and believe me it wasn't
disappointing! BHTM plyed after the Ugly Americans and despite what everyone
says I thought they sounded great, yet the crowd definitely seemed to liven up
when Dave and the boys came on stage. What a great job! Screw the whole
interviewing process, I'll take minimum wage if they had me carry
their equipment around! They obviously have a great time up there as it shows
by the wide grins on their faces. Here's the setlist for all of those who may
be interested in bootlegs (some of it may be wrong so if anyone was at the show
last night don't hesitate to correct me):

Dancing Nancies
Warehouse
Laying in Our Graves(?)
Best of What's Around
WWYS
Jimi Thing
Rhyme & Reason
Dance With Me (?)
Some unknown song that was amazing
Satellite
Ants Marching

otherwise, SPEAK OUT!

I just wanted to say thanks to every kind person who is helping me start my
collection... it will be nice once I have a massive collection to trade and
give tapes away, and be as generous as people are being to me...so once
again thanks!
Let me ask one more time (and quickly) I am attempting to compile a massive
collection of DMB and I need as much help as possible. I don't have much
to trade, but stuff is on the way... It would be greatly appreciated if you
feel it in your kind, loving soul to send me some tapes...I'll be as
helpful as posiible in making sure that your job is easy.
I have a question (maybe a dumb one): I am a DJ and program director at a
college station (where DMB is on the playlist) and we recieved a
promotional CD which included song from both UTTAD and RTT, and it also has
live and demo, acoustic versions of songs on both those CDs. Is this some
kind of rare thing, or is it well known release? In any event I think its a
great collection of songs, and if anyone wants to get a copy of it just let
me know, esp. those who are sending me stuff.
Coast as far as CMJ reported. Of course thats true, but you should be
happy to know up in the northwoods of potsdam, the phone rings alot for DMB
requests.
Anyways I have more to say, but I'll finish later...Be coll to one another...

 2. Has Dave ever given dates on when he wrote his songs? Are they all new?
All old? Is this a dumb question?

I don't think that he has given dates, but you can sort of track down
when the song was written by listening to shows, seeing when they first
appear. Listen to the Rutabega cuts, and you'll see what songs he
already had when the band was just forming. Also, you can follow the
evolution of songs, like Any-noise--Say Goodbye, old R&R's, etc.

 3. I've heard some tunes with what I think is Boyd on vocal. The song was
True Reflections. IF, indeed it was him, does he always sing this one?

Boyd always sings this song (I think he may have performed it with his
other bands before dmb). He also sings on Angel From Montgomery - when
first played, Boyd and Dave would alternate verses, but it seems now
that only Boyd sings...

Dan Heatherly "So glad our paths
         Shepherd College crossed this time
         Somewhere-In-The-Hills, WV today" -Dave

Also, someone asked about the dmb homepage. The address is

This should get you there, from here you'll find everything you need.

Oh yeah, someone asked about who wrote Angel. It was John Prine, I've
heard that there is a popular version of the song that features Prine
and Bonnie Raitt.

hell, although, you could have made it a bit more challenging than "the
first five newbies get tapes", I like a little challenge... anyways..

Good day too all,

I am still reeling in euphoria of last night's show at MSU Auditorium.
DMB was amazing to say the least. However, I have to say I was a bit let
down by BHT. I thought they were going to have a little more energy and
excitement. I truly think that DMB is by far the best band in Concert I
have ever seen. Dave just gets everyone so excited and into the songs.
I apologize but right now I can't remember the setlist, so if anyone out
there can remember it please post it. :) I just couldn't believe the 15
minute version of Jimi thing that they played. It could have lasted a
half an hour and still got away with it.

IF ANYONE HAS A COPY OF LAST NIGHT'S SHOW PLEASE EMAIL ME PERSONELLY,
FORE I WOULD LOVE A COPY

Anyways that is my two cents for now. Now I have to figure ot a way to
see hem again on Friday night in Detroit.........

Peace and carrots,

PK--

everyone's tapes will go out) and I was wondering if there are any Minareters
in the Washington, DC/Metropolitan area who may want to get together some-
time between March 11th and 19th. Maybe do some trades?? Or just hang out.
It would be nice to finally put faces and voices to some of y'all. If any
one is avalible and interested, e-mail me personally.
collection continues to grow, I think I have almost every DaMaBa song
in some form or another on tape EXCEPT a few. I am looking for a show
Alabama, Me and Julio, Norwegian Wood, that "Warrior" song (can't remem-
ber the name -- y'all know what I am talking about) and any other cool
stuff (covers??) If anyone can help me out on my quest, please get in
touch with me. I am going home for break on the 10th and won't have
access to taping equipment 'till the 20th, but when I get back I'd be
willing to spin something (of your choice, of course) from my ever-
growing collection. Get in touch with me and I'll send you my list.

were rockin' as usual, although it would have been nice to hear something other
than WWYS for a change. I read in Rolling Stone that they were goin to be on
Live from the House of Blues, which hosts such bands as Blues Traveler, Hootie
and the Blowfish, ect... I have been watching for weeks now but no Dave. Does
anyone know when they are going to be on? Did I miss it? How was it? I don't
get many oppurtunities to see DMB perform up in Milwaukee but I am going to the
show with BHTM in two weeks. Can't wait.

boys girls, eric wald bakia, my dear love clare,
being a good friend of sandy's, at least i once was, i have seen a change
in his persona that scares me, and i ask you to ignore his infantile
messages on the net, filing them under the simple catagory of "deranged
lunatic" sandy's and my playful banter on the net, making sarcastic fun
of some people's retentiveness, was a nice game for a while. then sandy
had a problem. he couldn't stop talking about the net, about fred house,
nebulous ben, the wookie, and now you, eric wald. you people don't know
what i know so i see why you flame him such. let me inform you, and
in the loss of his dog. and this was not any dog, it was his favorite.
you see, sandy's dog was killed by a truck, and ever since he has been
filled with a compulsive anger. he obsesses on something he dislikes,
and rips it to shreds. i feel sorry for the subject of his angst. i
can't even talk to the lunatic anymore. we are trying to get him help,
but for now, pity him, his anger is unleashed. i myself will get a
verbal tongue-lashing from his for this post, but i feel the only was to
save him is to pity him. please join me in the quest to cure sandy of
his unremitting anger. thank you eric wald, wookie, and bakia.

This January when DMB came to Boston at the Orphuem Theatre I had the rare
opportunity to meet not just Dave but every member of the band.
being canceled due to blizzard like conditions. After almost crashing and
going top speeds of around 40 MPH Me and Friend arrived at the subway
station and headed for the Orphuem. we arrived there about three hours early
to the show and were the only people in Boston or so it seemed. My friend
had met Dave and the Band about three times already because her brother used
to be on their road crew. As soon as we entered the Box office area Dave
popped out after having done his sound check. (Up until this piont I really
didn't believe my friend when she said she had met the band) As Dave came out
of the theater door he notices the friend I was with and begins to talk about
the old days when her brother was on the road crew. After about three
minutes and having been introduced to Dave he leaves telling us that he is
going to see a fiend in the hospital.
Tinsley trots by giving us a polite hello. So we aproach him. He too talks
to us and even offers us back stage passes for after the show. Oh, and he
also bums a cigarette off of me. He was an all around friendly person.
the friendliest of ways. But he then left after five minutes.
of his face unprotected in the cold, stale Boston air. Whe talked to him
also. He seemed very shy and talked as if he was exited to be alive. He is
definately the stoner hippy tipe acting much like the Bong guy in the movie
Dazes & Confused.
stopped to talk to my friend and stayed talking to the whole crowd for about
20 minutes. Some FaQS he told us

-He and Lerio Moore actually started the band and they named it The Dave
Matthews Band when Dave jioned because Dave had already written 5 songs
-The Horde Tour has the best food and they treated them like kings
-He also said that he really likes being with BHTM, But he also said that the
Samples are kind of Blah ("they are good guy's gut after the third song you
start saying didn't they just play this")
He said many other things but twenty minutes of conversation makes for long
writting.
Anyway he personally took me and my friend into the Orphuem were he gave us
the stickers for back stage passes. He then said goodbye because he had to go
eat his catered dinner. The show was amazing even though "The Ugly americans
almost ruined all of our fun when they almost broke the Stage Extention by
having the whole place dance on it". After the show we got to meet up with
only Dave unfortunately, but he had alot to say also.
He told us about how he and the band went over to Trey's house when up in
Vermont and that they played some stuff together in Trey's home studio(I'd
like to get my hand on that tape) and how the whole band met at a bar
strangely enough his old boss was there backstage too and how they are just
playing for the love of playing and when that stopps being funn he's gonna
stopp. I asked him where he picked up that strange "Yeah" that he says after
about every song but he himself didn't know.
Any way we left after an hour of chit chatting with Dave only to have the T
(subway for all you nonBostonians) in front of us run over a person. We
ended up having to walk between the tracks in the cold dark tunnel for about
a half a mile because they had to turn all the power off.
WELL ANYWAY IT WAS A NIGHT TO REMEBER
JERRY

I was wondering does anyone know where the picture on the front of UTTAD
ws taken? I am just guessibg but could it have been at Kings Dominion?
That is an amuessment park just north of Richmond for all you non
virginians.

Also a few days ago there was an add in the Red and Black. that is the
UGA school paper. The add was a quarter of a page and it had a big
picture of Dave and a quote from Rolling Stone "They've got chops to Kil
there was also a quote from Stereo Review "Just when it seems there is
nothing new under the sun, along comes the Dave Matthews Band."
Thats all.

Hello everybody-
wondering.....does anyone want to trade some tapes at the Chicago (3/17) or
the Milwaukee (3/15) shows????
Jones Band, Mother Hips, Everything, Jambay, Phish, Black Crowes, BT, Bob
Mould Acoustic and other stuff that amounts to about another 60 hours of
tapes. I am particularly looking for any of the AWARE bands' stuff (JP,
From Good Homes, Shannon Worrell, Emptys, Better than Ezra, Hootie,
Etc....) as well as early (Peter incl.) Dave stuff but am ameanable to any
sort of trades. Email me directly and we'll work something out.
*If anyone is interested, my bud Kate Sampson (hey Kate) and a man by the
name 'o Justin Sonfield are setting up an AWARE listserv as we
speak...they'll problably post something on Minarets about it soon but if
you want subscription info you can email me directly.

*Jeff Thompson----I don't know how many times I have screwed up your name
in our correspondence...my intentions are the best but I've always been
shitty with names. Fare well and remember to let me know if you get those
tapes.....

*Newbies going to those shows....the first 5 of you (be honest), if you
want, can trade me blanks at the shows for some crispy tapes...I'll post a
cutoff.

*Anyone going to the shows that just wants to talk Dave or meet another
netter, I'll be the guy in the UVA hat and maroon DMB shirt probably
hanging by the soundboard.

*Last but certainly not least, if you are not from Milwaukee but are going
to the show there....GO TO A GEORGE WEBBS DINER!! GW's is the shit, it's a
24hr diner like Dennys but with incredible double cheeseburgers...mmmm,
cheeseburgers. There is one on 27th and Clybourn (6 1/2 blocks from the
venue) Let me know if you need directions (I'll problably be hanging there
b4 and/or after the show)....

ok......this is the last time i am posting
the form for the rare dave tree.

the tapes are a vast culmination of songs which are rarely heard
by the dave matthews band, anymore. Since many of the newer
fans probably have never heard them, and probably never will
(with the exception of live shows on tape), there is often a
large call for some of the older shows which have only one song
of great note (such as the 'stephan's song' jam, or an old old
version of halloween, when jeff bagby used to play with the vocals,
and it was just dave and carter playing).

so, to decrease the requests for some of these whole shows, chris
buford made two tapes full of songs played in ways you probably
wont hear them again......as well as songs you probably won't hear
again, like some keyboard heavy songs, which featured peter....etc etc

there is a tree being run, and this is the last time the form will be posted
although, i believe ben tanen is going to put it on the dmb
homepage for me.

the process is simple........as with most trees, you fill out the form
below, and hang on for a week or so, while i throw together the structure
........the structure will be posted, and inevitably be placed
on the homepage for dmb as well................if trees confuse you,
then we are working on a file to help explain them (also to be found on
the homepage in the future).................

what you will need to do to obtain these tapes via this tree
is fill out the form, and send it to KOLIVER1@UA1VM.UA.EDU
before next thursday 9 march

should that address not work, simply send the same form to
KOLIVER1@UA1IX.UA.EDU

IF THIS HAS ALREADY BEEN POSTED I APOLOGIZE FOR POLLUTING THE NET.

RADIO STATION TO LISTEN TO......107.9 The End

write me if you need specifics

RADIO STATION.............CD 101.1

hometown pride write me back. Hope to see you all in Cleveland and
Columbus.

Last weekend my roommates friend came to visit. She had never met me
and had obviously never seen Dave. She got to our room and i wasnt
in but I had 2 DMB stickers on my fridge all 3 of the CDs on top of
my stereo, a few Bagby's layin around, a Dmb hat on the counter, the
stick figures t-shirt layin on my bed and then I came in wearin the
ancient eye t-shirt. well anyway, no one introduced me to her and finall
she asked me "Are you Dave Matthews?" everyone laughed and ofcourse I
said "yes Iam." I asked her how she knew my name and she told me that
she saw all the stuff around the room and said that looked like Dave
in some of the newspaper articles that I had around the room.
We finally told her the truth so do't worry I'm not a Dave inpersonater
sorry if i took up to much space but i thaught this was funny.

I'm not going to change my ways
just to please you or appease ypu-Dave

Hey All

it is finally done. I'm really psyched because it will help people get tour
info, etc... about these bands and other new ones in their own place. This is
my way of helping declog minarets, I too hate getting 70-80 messages a day. I
rarely post, though I've been here a while, so please don't get annoyed that I
used up davespace. I hope you all will visit once in a while, I think my
minarets days may be numbered, sad, but true. You've got to admit that there
is some dave content here, he sings vocals with Shannon Worrell on Aware II
on Eleanor. If you don't know what I am talking about, the Aware cd's are
Jackopierce, Hootie and the Blowfish, Mango Jam, Edwin McCain, Acoustic
Junction, From Good Homes, Vertical Horizon, Mother Hips, and a lot more. If

or mail me if you have any ?'s about the cd's etc...

thanks all,

Gosh I hate to do this, but this will be my first and last tape
grovel ever. I promise. All I ask is that if anyone taped
the 2/28/95 Cincinnati show (hopefully DAT), could you please
get in contact with me. This was my very first show and would
be such treat to have it. I have a small but very good collection
of Phish, DMB, Jambay and others. I'm sure that we could work
something out. Plus, I have a long line of wishers that would
also like a copy of the show. I guess that I am acting as
spokesman. Oh well.....that's my grovel. Thank you, drive through.

------------------------------

howdy all,

if anyone has a great recording of the burlington show, i think it was on
january 26th(?) please email me.

my little bro went to that show, it was his first, and his birthday is coming
up within the next few weeks. he LOVED the show and has mentioned to me that
he would kill for a copy.

if anyone can help me out, i will most definitely be willing to trade for the
show as soon as i get my tapes in the mail (and that should be starting from
today on...)

thank you so much.

later,
bardo

Hey All,
wanted to ask how to download an internet browser, and also, how much it
costs, etc. Sorry if this is a stupid post, but I have a few in me. I want
to find out how to access a browser from my own PC and am curious to the
costs involved, etc.
t any costs, but I'm sure that I'm just in space or something. If anyone out
there has any info about this, drop me a line at [ jthomps34@aol.com ].
sexuality is allowed, this should be?

PS- If anyone has a good copy of the 2/12/94 Penn State show, I would love to
hear from you to set up a trade. I have about 60 - 70 hours of DMB, so I'm
sure we would both be happy...

------------------------------

Hey all!
honored. So, if anyone wants to trade, let me know (now that I have a name
to uphold).
17th show in Nashville, Tennessee at Vanderbilt. Has it already gone on sale
yet? I just found out this morning and was very curious since I live kinda
close.
if you did not already know this. It should be a killer show so everyone
tune it!!!!!!!!

"Details" Review of DaMaBa

mcrider@liberty.uc.wlu.edu Thu Mar 9 19:23:41 1995

To arms! To arms!

The April issue of Details magazine with NIN on the cover contains a Hit
List of bands on page 199. The "Turn it up" selection includes such
artists as Morphine and Sheryl Crow. However on the "Turn it off" section

"These adult alternative rockers sell their own Magic Eye poster and
screen saver in their CD packaging. Wouldn't their own blend of decaf be
more appropriate?"

Is that superficial or what. Didn't their mother teach them not to
judge a book by its cover? At least they could have taken the time to
listen to the album. If all 800+ of us flood their e-mail with responses
maybe they will think twice about printing such trash. I encourage all of

Re: In Memory of Anne

Several people have given explanations of who Anne is, none completely
wrong, but here's the story - Anne, Dave's older sister, was killed by
her husband who then took his own life, leaving children (I am not sure
how many, maybe two), one of which Dave is holding in the photo in UTTAD...

Re: Detroit - Nature

jjthomps@teton.Mines.Colorado.EDU Thu Mar 9 20:22:19 1995

Yes the encore sdid begin with the first line from the Samples song
"Nature". My question for the net is... was this Dave mocking/belittling
the Samples or a tribute to them?? Does anyone know the relationship the
two bands have with each other...if they have one at all?

 tracy

No, I doubt Dave was mocking the Samples, but if you wanted to pick a song
that shows Sean Kelly's voice at its most annoying - Nature is it.
Although I only have one version of the band doing that song - it does seem
like Dave is trying to imitate Sean's style.

I asked Dave about their relationship with the Sample's once after R2T came
out, because they are listed in the Thank Yous in the liner notes. He
said they really liked the guys and appreciated all the help that they had
given them in getting to play around the country. He also pointed out that
they listed Sean Kelly and the Samples in the thank yous.

The first time they played in Co, was opening for the Samples at Red Rocks.
(well, actually - Dave was telling some story about the first time they
came to Denver to play at some Cowboy Bar or something. I got the feeling
it was something similar to the Blues Brothers doing their stint as the
Good Ol' Boys)

Adios,

Samples - Anne

jjthomps@teton.Mines.Colorado.EDU Thu Mar 9 20:45:42 1995

I inadvertently left out this example of the relationship between DMB and
the Samples.

DMB was in Colorado when Anne was killed. They had just played a show in
Denver the night before and were scheduled for 2 shows at the Fox in
boulder for the next two nights. There is a slight mistake in the FAQ when
it says that they were on tour with the Samples. But they had invited the
Samples to play with them on either one of the two nights at the Fox
(boulder is the Samples home turf). Anyway, when Dave left for South
Africa the day of the show, the samples agreed to fill the bill. They
played for free - i.e. they made no money - proceeds from the show were
sent to help out the orphaned kids. LeRoi and Boyd sat in with the Samples
on a number of songs. So, I think it is safe to say that both bands care a
lot for each other.

Re: Who's Anne

Mathews34@aol.com Thu Mar 9 21:09:10 1995

Anne was Dave's older sister who, a few years back, was shot and killed by
her husband in South Africa. Anne's husband then turned the gun on himself.
This left Anne's two children orphaned, and one of them is pictured inside
the UTTAD CD, hence, " To Anne. "

I once had a girl or should I say she once had me
She showed me her room isn't it good Norwegian wood
She asked me to stay and she told me to sit anywhere
So I looked around and I noticed there wasn't a chair
i sat on her rug biding my time drinking her wine
We talked until 2 and then she said "It's time for bed"
She told me she worked in the morning and started to laugh
I told her I didn't and crawled off to sleep in the bath
And when I awoke I was alone, this bird had flown
So I lit afire, isn't it good Norwegian wood

 hey caton,

i am not positive, but i think the lyrics to the beatles "norwegian wood"
 goes something like

i once had a girl or should i say she once had me
she took me home and told me to sit anywhere
i looked around and noticed there wasn't a chair

actually, i think i may be missing a line in there, but my roommate is a huge

Re: When did Peter leave?

acox@s850.mwc.edu Thu Mar 9 22:47:13 1995

Peter left the band in late March of '93... you often will hear Big
League Chew (I think it was 3/23/93) referred to as being his last show,
though he played another one or two shows that week, I believe. That week
was his last with the band, when he decided that he no longer wanted to
be in the band.

Also, someone was asking about the jam before Halloween at Lexington last
November - I've heard it called different things, including the PB&J jam,
Talk To Me, justajam, I've got mine labelled as Soundcheck Jam, since the
first time that they had ever played it was during soundcheck that night,
though they played it at five or six more shows that month. That's the
last anyone has heard of that jam, to my knowledge...

NATURE

EWEBLER@smith.smith.edu Fri Mar 10 03:38:02 1995

i've been to many samples concerts in my time and i have to express my
**twitch, twitch** um, annoyance, when i heard that dave was covering the
sample's tune 'nature'. you see, everytime that i go to one of these shows
these big burly drunk blokes find me in the crowd and stand behind me, spilling
their beer down my back. and, well, this happens at every concert but at
samples shows in particular, they always scream "NATURE!!! NATURE!!!" at the
top of their lungs throughout the concert, (even after the song has been
performed). the thought of this happening at a dave matthews band concert
too frightens me. it's not even their song and people are going to be
screaming it now...

i'm going to the chicago, march 16 show... if they play this i'm going to cry.

thank you very much for letting me get that out.

Shannon Worrell?

nixer@gwis2.circ.gwu.edu Fri Mar 10 05:09:51 1995

Hi.
a song that someone taped for me by a woman named Shannon Worrell. Dave
is singing backup. She has apparently opened for Dave and the gang in the
DC/Virginia area. Does anyone out there know anything about her, like has
she played with the band before, where can I get a CD, where does she
come from? A friend of mine saw her open for DMB and immediately fell
madly in love with her- unfortunalty, no one knows anything about her.
If there are any DMB shows with her performing, I'd love to know about
them. I'm very much a newbie here and have almost nothing to offer execpt
my undying gratitude.
of a friend deals. Anyway, roomate's friend goes to see DMB at roseland.
After the show they (the friend and his friends) end up somewhere that
the band ends up at. The kid was just floored by the show, by the way.
ANYWAY, he's satnding in this place and Dave is right there, alone. The
kid just kind of stands there speechless, staring. So dave looks at him,
takes his hands, kisses them and says "You know, we share something
really intimate." and walks away. Odd but I think I
'd do something equally weird if people suddenly became speechless when
they were around me.

RE: Shannon Worrell?

DANIELT@tiger.hsc.edu Fri Mar 10 06:02:22 1995

Well, Shannon Worrell is awesome. Saw her live for the first (and only) time
in January, with a sweet guest appearance by Dave at Crossroads (Old TRAX).
She has a CD out entitled "Three Wishes." Definitely worth adding to your
collection. Dave sings back-up on two, Tim reynolds plays on a few, and Leroi
plays on one. She is in a band that I understand is now called "Monsoon."
Kristen Asbury, who has also been known to sing with dave, plays percussion and
sings back-up. Kristen has an amazing voice. I never can remember the
bassist's name. They are touring around. Last I heard they were out west
somewhere, but I don't know. If they come near you, definitely go see them.
Well worth the time and the couple of bucks. I don't think the CD is released
nationally. I live in cental VA so of course I can find it around. Don't know

Wonderful break sitting at home spinning tapes for newbies. They should get
out around the 20th.

Later and smokes........... tom

attention!
armed with a few brilliant suggestions from some fellow minnows, I've
managed to set aside some time and energy to do this tree.
The Roseland show, which guest featured Popper and Trey (of Phish, for
you REALLY newbies) will arrive any day.
Therefore, I'm putting together a little tree since it seems like people
want the show, and 'cause I'd like to be a cool guy. Here's the deal.

fill out the enclosed thingy, send it back to me to compile. I'll post
the outcome in a week or two.

-------------------------detach here----------------------------------

I'd like to be a branch
I'd like to be a leaf
(pick one...this'll probably only be a two tier deal)

I'd like to fill blanks (two tapes, 100 + 90 min)
I'd like to trade.
(pick one...if it's a trade, then it'll be up to you to contact your
branch, or the trunk--me--, to get a list of shows)

my phone number is (optional):

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

that's the end of the form.
I think I can handle it from there.

tree addendum (or however you say it)

hey
me again.

make sure you mail those things directly back to me, for as many of you
know, I can no longer subscribe directly to the minaret-net.

****also*****

thanks to some friends of mine...you know who you are... I've been graced
with some fucking COOL shows in the past two or three weeks. Some are of
such ridiculously high quality, that I feel guilty not offering them for
blank fills or trades (that's how I got 'em).

so...

probably once I get the tree rolling, I'll be accepting blank requests again.

If you wrote me before and heard nothing, it means your mail crashed and
I never resent it.
sorry
mail again and I'll try it again.
I wasn't ignoring you, I'm just overwhelmed by e-mail to the point that,
sometimes, I lose track of you.

I think it's with a clear conscience that I say that I'm extremely
reliable to fill blanks, and I like to spread the Damaba freely among the
masses, so get int touch with me after I post the tree.

ALSO.

tape it.
tape it.
tape it.

hook up your tape deck to your TV and tape that bitch!

anyon with a DAT of that show that'd be willing to fill a blank for me
afterwards, I'd appreciate it.

Oh yeah...one of the tapes I got was DMB and Indecision at Van Riper's
Music Festival 9-20-92...1st gen; DSBD master. (kelly, he was here in my
living room again last night!!!)

no shit.

Dave tune...shit they suck."

I'm jaded, besides, they didn't have a sax OR a boyd, so it was pretty
futile (but they did have a harmonica). They were good otherwise, did a
bunch of blues covers and originals and stuff.

my date was impressed but I got bummed after that little incident.

awright...I have to sleep now.
getb those requests back to me!!!!
look forward to sprouting a good tree!

SPDLMT...anyone here ever have that problem that a good song--something
along the lines of recently or billies--makes you stomp on the gas? I

Various, yet important

gstewart@students.wisc.edu Fri Mar 10 11:47:01 1995

As many of you now know I have this lil spot on the radio in Madison. WORT
89.9fm currently on Tues overnight shift 2-5 (could be considered Wed
mornings) Soon to be moved to Thursdays!!! So spread the word.
varied other set (Rusted Root, LoM, LoS, WSP, Jambay, Fiji Mariners ((ARU)),
DMB, Ominous Seapods, GSW, Blues Traveler, to name several)
the near future.
Make. Listen to them after you spin them to make sure the sound is there,
that it doesn't sound like BlAhH.
distortion, bad mojo) Make sure the tapes you send are comparable to the
ones you keep, hence NO TRANSISTOR NOISE (from walkman playing into a stereo
with wrong voltage, it happened to me recently in a four tape trade all of
them garbage) Past few trades have gone bad... I am slightly miffed.
If you are interested in serious trading w/ me send your list and make sure
it is critically rated. I'll get back to you ASAHP.

cry freedom

Dmbard@aol.com Fri Mar 10 12:19:07 1995

howdy everyone,

quick question...

is the cry freedom tune a cover that dave does of the beautiful south's tune,
that goes...cry freedom for the woman in the wall, cry freedom for she has no
voice at all...the actual title i know is "woman in the wall" but i have yet
to hear that tune and i am totally in the dark.

if anyone can shed some light on this poor soul's question i would be
eternally grateful.

thanks.

your favorite tune is...hm...jimi thing?

you love the jam in the middle and hence it is your most favorite tune. i
currently own only 2 boots, one of which is floodzone 5-13-92, and the
version of jimi thang is SO nice. dave introduces the band and each member
gets the spot light for a bit, EVERYONE shines, wow!
maybe that is why jimi thang is your favorite?

WoW!!!! Columbus

FORTINJS@UCBEH.SAN.UC.EDU Fri Mar 10 15:40:13 1995

What is UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
show last night. The set list has already been posted by Jon who was at the
show, and i must say it was most inpressive. I do not know where to start.
BHTM fuckin' jammed. They played one of my favorite song, Tangerine. Todd was
whailing so hard, and you couyld tell he had a great time. Now to DMB.
FIRST LET ME THANK PUNCHIN PAT for the beer and the seat. "God love ya' bro"
See i'm using your saying. My seats were about 20 rows back on the far left
side, but thanks to some connections with pat we moved into the front row. If
you read my post of Cleveland you know i hung out with Dave for 'bout an hour
and when i got inot the front row we looked at eachother, and he almost looked
surprised to see me. Wow i guess i made an impression. I wonder if it was
good? After 'bout four songs the five girls in front middle left!!! Morons.
Probably had to go home and make their high school curfew. JUST KIDDING!!!!
I was glad they left though cause PAT and I moved right in front during
Minarets. The people in the second row were really cool, over all a great
crowd. As soon as the seats opened up they yelled at me to move over, cause i
was groovin so hard, i guess. So there Pat and i were in the best two seats on
a little JIMITHING and enjoying life. Personal "HIGH" note of the night.
When the band was pondering what to say i yelled out Jimithing cause i was
talking to Dave bout that in cleveland and he went right into it. I know he
was probably going to play it anyway, but i would like to think it was for me.
Dave had a great time and the encore was sweet. A cover of Bonnie Rait and
then nature into tripping. I didn;t think i would know what to say but as
usual i wrote a shit load. If you read it i hope you enjoyed, cause i DIDS!!
Good bit of dave talk, and i gave a tape of DAVMALTATIONS to Matt Need the
manager of BHT to give to Dave. i did not get to talk to dave afterwards, had
to drive back three hours to cincy after dropping my sister off in Miami. If i
could of hung out after warsd for a while i could have died content with only a
few regrets. I think the show last night was better than making love.

I AM GETTING A COPY OF THIS KILLER SHOW AND WILL SUPPLY THE COPY I GET FOR A
TREE IF ANYONE HAS THE EQUIPMENT AND TIME TO START ONE, POST ME PERSONALLY.

Got to meet PAT, John, and DAN. If you know em there all cool, and we were
lucky enough to see a great show. For me that is the end of my DMB tour. Three
shows in one and a half weeks plus i get to see House of Blues tonight.
WATHCH IT, eventhough i shouldn't have to tell anybody to. If someone would
please post me the rest of the dates personally i would much appreciate it i
might be able to go to some more shows!!, and will post again about the

My fav quote of the night. "I once had a girl or, ______ __ ____ ___ ____ ____

To the question that FIN asked. No those are NOT bowling shoes that dave
wears. He has a little more class than that. If you wear bowling shoes, and
have class post me so i know someone who wears bowling shoes and has class. I
always thought they were a nice dress shoe from the crowd, but when i talked to
him and looked at his shoes, (i do not know why i looked at his shoes?) they
were a heavy leather but comfortable looking shoe. They are three different
colors, i think, an orange a brown, and a green, all pretty neutral. If that
means something else i am not an art guy. They were wild yet really cool. I
asked him where he got them and he said in a split second. NEW YORK, and he
rattled off the store name and the street it was on. To say the least he likes
his shoes. Wow, are we obsessed(or I) talking about the shoes he wears.

A little chatter

Hello
Steve, if you read this I must get a copy of that Rusted Root/DMB encore
jam!! I normally wouldn't respond to you over the net and waste space, but
I don't have your address. Please write back...
Also, is there anyone known dates of DMB playing any where near Potsdam NY
or Albany NY. If anyone knows of any please write and tell me. I must see
Dave!!!
I'd like to also thank everyone with whom I have been getting or trading
tapes with, your tapes are in the mail...
perfect they are musically. They really have everything. They are most
certainly "catchy" and theres nothing wrong for people to like them because
of that. Because once you start listening you can't help but see what
makes this band so terrific. Dave sings so sweetly and his lyrics are all
at once touching, uplifting, fun and inspiring. The same could be said for
his guitar playing. The rest of the band is just as amazing. They are
everything musicians should... they play with soul, and they're music is
beautiful and awe-inspiring. And as a drummer, I know Carter smokes! He
an all around truely incredible band.
Please, don't keep DMB to yourself... spread it around, let others come to
know what we do. Let them hear what we hear, and let them experience what
we do when we listen to DMB. They have given me my love of music back, I
temporarily lost it...

Re: Shannon Worrell?

scooter@merle.acns.nwu.edu Sat Mar 11 01:21:16 1995

 Hi.
I'm pretty new here and sort of not really a new Dave fan. I have
a song that someone taped for me by a woman named Shannon Worrell. Dave
is singing backup.
Oh, amusing Dave story- This is one of those friend of a friend
of a friend deals.
Thanks for any info on Shannon Worrell (if that's her name

Yes, that's her name. If you want the cd, you need to call 1-800-AWARE65 and
they can ship it to you....it is also on the aware II cd that they produce, i
can forward you info an that too, ok? watch for it!

Anyone have Detroit tape?

McMoe@aol.com Sat Mar 11 06:32:34 1995

I am so sure that someone had to have taped the show at the State theatre. I
am dying to get a copy of the show. PLEASE someone get in touch with me
because I have to have a copy.

Also, I must get my $.02 in on the House of Blues show. It's a damn shame
that the powers that be "force" Dave and the boys to play a very predictable,
commercial set everytime they play on tv. It is a shame that everyone who
can't attend a show can't hear great tunes like bluewater, two step, lying in
our graves. Was it me or did Popper seem like he was drunk when he played
the "non-solo" part of WWYS? During his solo, he played great - - but other
than that, well?

House of Blues

acox@s850.mwc.edu Sat Mar 11 06:33:25 1995

Just a quick rundown of the show, since it ended, what, 10 minutes ago?
Anyway, the songs played were

NO surprises at all, especially with the songs in the middle (not R&R).

THe songs themselves were alright, TB had the R2T beginning, nothing
special there, it actually sounded a lot like the R2T version all the way
through...

Just your typical R&R...

What Would YOu say was nice, Popper came out, and I thought that this was
really good, if for no other reason than Popper - I guess I had forgotten
how well that guy can jam. Though I've never been a huge fan of WWYS, I
must say that it was pretty good tonight...

Ants, it was just a matter of time, it was nice that Boyd played
something other than that standard filler that he almost uses, it's nice
when you don't hear it...

And as an 'encore,' BOWA was pretty standard.

All in all, a pretty good show, too much Joan Osborne, the only thing I
can say about her is that it seemed (to me) that she got better as she
went along, but hearing about her 'right hand man' and a spider web got
old.

The little interview that they did with the band was nice, though now
I've heard several different stories to how the band began, all told by
the band members themselves. Damnit, they need to get their facts
straight (hehehehe).

I didn't think it was possible, but Zima commercials are even worse than
Zima itself...

Andrew

House Of Blues...

JThomps34@aol.com Sat Mar 11 06:34:16 1995

Hey All,
expect to see a real concert on TV, but I did expect to have TBS allow the
band to actually perform some of their songs. Instead I got to hear songs
cut off, idiots talking about the band, and a sea of commercials so large it
could apply for ocean status. Nevertheless, it was cool to see the boys
"live". One of the only cool things about it was seeing Carter in action
from above and close up. I used to play drums, so I was particularly
impressed with the man's talents. He is probably the only drummer I have
seen or heard that can actually make use of a drum set that extensive. Dave
seemed to be enjoying himself, and Boyd and LeRoi also did.

Tripping Billies
Rhyme & Reason
commercial song
What Would You Say (w/ Popper)
commercial jam #1
Ants Marching
commercial jam #2

'The Best Of What's Around', which is one of my favorite songs. I was just
listening to the BOWA version from Lupo's Heartbreak Hotel 10/9/94 and it
doesn't get much better. Anyway, I just thought I would comment on the House
Of Commercials, I mean, the House Of Blues. Let me know what you all thought
of the show (personally).
it, or have access to such a tape), I would love to hear from you. I am just
curious to what was actually played, etc.
other opinions from fan(atics) like myself. I guess I'll talk to you all
later...

PS- Get in touch about possible trades. I have about 60 - 70 hours of DMB
and am looking to see what people have to offer. TTYL...

some stupid humor in these times of woe.

Barrett.S.Shaver@Dartmouth.EDU Sat Mar 11 16:54:10 1995

in the last couple of weeks i've noticed a tremendous influx of new memebers to
this net. now, i have no problem with newbies, but what i do have a problem
with are the cluebies - newbies who have no clue and like to show it. so for
all you newbies out there who are wondering if you fit the category of cluebie,
read on.

-you SHOUT for a tape of the show you saw just ten hours ago.

-you admit you are a newbie to this net but not to dave band because you've
been listening to them ever since the "what would you say" video came out.

-you ask if the bass players name is Stephan or Ste Phan (the answer should be
in the albums' liner notes, by the way.).

-you are willing to pay lots of money and all your dave bootleg CD's to get
tickets to tomorrow night's sold-out show.

-you ask about dave's sexual orientation.

-you ask who Anne is after it had been answered the day before (this goes for
asking any question that was answered the previous day.)

What Would You Say

-you repost entire digests thinking that will unsubscribe you.

-you claim to have had a religious experience crowd surfing to "lover lay
down".

-you want to know what the word "newbie" means.

-you're posting stupid shit like this to minarets when you should be studying
for a final you have in three hours...like me.

thank you, and have a nice day...

first shows

Matthew_McClure@brown.edu Sat Mar 11 17:42:03 1995

Hmmm...why did you go to the concert, then? Big Big Head Todd fan?
Or was it those insert sarcasm oh-so-excellent Ugly Americans end
sarcasm? Most people I know wouldn't go to a concert by a group that
they'd only heard one song by...of course, I'd heard NOTHING by DMB when I
went to my first show in Charlottesville back in June, 1993...of course,
they didn't have a CD out then, yet, either...

Be nice. I agree, not many people would go to a show when they had only
heard one song by the band, but it happens. When I saw DMB for the first
time on 1/30/95 at Lupo's, I had heard NOTHING by them, but I went and it
was the most incredible display of sheer talent I have ever seen.
Instantly DMB became my favorite band. So have a heart for us new to the
experience.

story behind Ants

I was wondering if anyone knows if there is a special significance to Ants

and any help would be greatly appreciated.

ok, so it has been revealed to me that in my attempt to slam clueless newbies
in my "signs that you are a cluebie" post i have made an ergregious error and
sentenced myself to cluebie hell as well. so anyone who spots it can write me
personally and pick a tape from my collection (steve seremeth included). of
course, you'll have to send blanks and postage...

please unsubscribe me

nve772@nwu.edu Sat Mar 11 19:38:37 1995

surprised to see me.

If someone would
please post me the rest of the dates personally i would much appreciate it i
might be able to go to some more shows!!, and will post again about the
 possible tree.

					    '

------------------------------

I had one Minarets digest in the box today that included three reposted
diegsts in their entirety!
This is the exact reason why we need a newsgroup; if someone acidently
posts a digest you simply move on to the next post.
Plus with the traffic around here lately it would be a good idea.
So what exactly do we have to do to get rec.music.dmb?

Never have I been so affected by music. Last Tuesday, I witnessed the
Dave Matthews Band for the very first time. In fact, before this conert,
I had heard "What Would You Say" on the radio one time, and that was all I
knew of the band. (If it isn't obvious to you by now, I'm new to the list.
Hi, I'm Amanda.) During the course of that concert, I fell in love with
their music. As Leroi's (or is it Le Roi?) sax and Boyd's violin
intertwined and reached a feverish pitch, I thought my heart would explode.
The concert was fantastique! If anyone wants to talk about the Fort Wayne
show or has words of wisdom for someone, whose eyes have just been opened
up to Dave, please post. Thanks guys and gals. :)

Josh,
Wow, and I thought I was exited about the show. One of my frineds
who is a computer site assistant read your post and called me and told me to
check my mail.
All day i cought people staring at me because of the goofy smirk I'd
have on my face just remembering the show, more than a couple of times I
caught myself jammin' a little in class. It was so random how I knew that
guy, sure I had Chem class with him and we probably bullshitted over
hydrocloric acid, but I don't think I could have picked him out of a line-up
before last night, I just love how life works itself out. God, I thought
Cleveland was phenominal, so I don't have a word to describe last night,
except, possibly "front row-center".
My roommate, Shits (your not the only one with a screwed up
nickname) was supposed to get backstage passes, but that fell through and he
wound up sitting three rows behind where he was originally was. HE WAS SO
BITTER, he's a loser anyways but he called the show "par" and when I would
gloat to everyone about "front row center" he would automattically "punchin'
you were only down there for a couple songs." 6 songs to be exact and that
was six songs that noone came between me and the band!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
        I'm all fired up!
I have to go to another show, soon.
Enough digressing, what do you need to ask me? I'll be studying alot
over the weekend and next week so I wont be far from a computer so mail me
whenever and I hope I can help you

god love ya'
-punchin' pat

 Hi.
I'm pretty new here and sort of not really a new Dave fan. I have
a song that someone taped for me by a woman named Shannon Worrell. Dave
is singing backup.
Oh, amusing Dave story- This is one of those friend of a friend
of a friend deals.
Thanks for any info on Shannon Worrell (if that's her name

Yes, that's her name. If you want the cd, you need to call 1-800-AWARE65 and
they can ship it to you....it is also on the aware II cd that they produce, i
can forward you info an that too, ok? watch for it!

thanks!
