Live Setlist
41 Live Performances of #41
#41 debuted in April 1995 as a Police-inspired jam with improvised lyrics and developed throughout 1995 until it was formalized on Crash twelve months later. It then grew from "album cut" (still with enough clout to surprise everyone on The Late Show With David Letterman) to the song that welcomed everyone back from COVID. It's a primary jam vehicle and enabled some of the most memorable guest spots in the band's history.

This timeline aims to tell the story of #41 in 41 live performances from the debut to the present (as of August 2023). The selections below are grouped into categories, and many versions fit into several categories. You will see these categories repeat in future timelines and some will be more specific to each table.

In the future, when we get to experience more performances worthy of the timeline, we'll add them below with a note. A complete timeline is more important than the final number listed.
