This is a tiny litt--this is a quiet song.
Um, I think it's about not knowing when to stop.
I think the world is full of it. I think it's a
strange world. It's a strange world when we left,
y'all. When we left here last time, we were
playing in this building right before the
pandemic, and, uh, it was the night that all that
crazy violence happened in Paris. And then you
think that--always think, you know, I don't know
why we think that people are gonna get better.
But it feels like so often we just get--trying to
get worse and worse and worse. And I just, so, I
just want to say, because I hear so many Irish
voices talking about what's happening in the world
and standing up for people that can't stand up for
themselves. And even if the leaders in America,
who should be ashamed of themselves, and the
leaders amongst the world that should be ashamed
of ours--uh, that should be themselves. And even
if you think that they're not hearing all these
Irish voices, I think you can look again and know
that everybody sees how brave and how powerful you
all are. Thank you so much. And maybe, maybe not
too long from now we'll, uh, we'll wake up and
maybe they'll be rebuilding Gaza. But right now
there should be a ceasefire, and a ceasefire
permanently. 'Cause anybody who thinks killing a
child is gonna make them safer has lost their
mind.
